I have always admired Queen Latifah.  Even when I was a little child I followed her music, brought her single and rocked her music day and night.  I absolutely loved everything about Queen Latifah.  Her look and how she carried herself as being a strong black women.

Well, today I profile the lady that we all call Queen Latifah.

Queen Latafah Queen Lafifah's real name is Dana Elaine Owens.  Born on the 18th of March 1970 in East Orange, New Jersey, USA. Queen Latifah, broke through into the Rap main stream in the late 80s with a style that picked selectively from jazz and soul traditions. The former Burger King employee maintained her early commitment to answer the misogynist armory of her male counterparts, and at the same time impart musical good times to all genders.

At the rip young age of 18 the Queen released her debut single "Wrath of My Madness", in 1988, after working as the human beat box alongside female rapping crew Ladies Fresh.  She enjoyed raved reviews as her single climed the charts.  By the time of her third album, she had moved from Tommy Boy Records to a new home, Motown Records, and revealed a shift from the soul and reggae tones of Nature Of A Sista to sophisticated, sassy hip-hop.

Fast forward the Queen has been workin harder than ever with acting, doing numerous commericials, movies and keeping her fashion line rolling.  The Queen has always been an inspiration to women and men alike and if the past few years tell your future, the Queen has many more years under her belt.  Check out here curvation line of cloths.
